Wiro binding (also known as wire binding, which is simlilar to spiral or coil binding but gives a more professional looking finish) involves gathering pages together, punching holes along their side and holding them together with a metal wire spine. When the pages are opened they either lie flat or can fold fully back around, making wiro binding ideal for annual reports, recipe books, manuals and other reference material. It’s also suitable for between 4 and 180 leaves - that’s up to 360 printed sides.
Choose wiro binding on the top or left-hand side, and landscape or portrait orientation. You can select from silk, gloss or uncoated paper (with recycled options for both silk and uncoated), or from our broad range of luxury papers. You can opt to laminate your cover, and for extra strength and durability, you can choose to add protective clear acetate covers.
We can provide wiro bound documents in sizes A3, A4, A5, 1/3 A4 and 210mm x 210mm square. A3 sizes can only be bound on the short edge. We only use black coloured wires on all products.
Silk coated paper has a smooth feel with a discreet surface sheen. It offers excellent ink to paper contrast, and printed colours appear distinct and clear. A recycled option is available. (115gsm – 350gsm)
Gloss coated paper has a shiny surface and very smooth finish. Colour is sharp and stands out well. Ink dries quickly and the need for lamination is reduced. (115gsm – 350gsm)
Our premium uncoated paper is more absorbent than coated paper. Printed inks appear flatter due to this absorbency, and the paper has a soft finish. A recycled option is available. (100gsm – 350gsm)
We have a comprehensive selection of luxury papers for when only the best will do.
- Acquerello (160gsm-280gsm)
- Constellation Snow (170gsm-280gsm)
- Laid (100gsm-300gsm)
- Mohawk Felt (120gsm-300gsm)
- Nettuno (140gsm-280gsm)
- Sirio Pearl Oyster (125gsm-300gsm)
- Sirio Pearl Polar Dawn (125gsm-300gsm)
- Splendorgel Avorio (100gsm-300gsm)
- Gesso (140gsm-250gsm)
Matt lamination gives a soft, contemporary effect. Adding gloss lamination gives a higher quality shine finish than printing on gloss card or paper alone.
Lamination is most useful with solid colours or images to enhance their vibrancy or where you want to protect your printed documents.
Lamination is not available on luxury papers.

Pretty good service, a bit of miscommunication happened, and was only resolved with myself ringing to find out what happened, and a delay in the printing but other than that very happy with the final product.
Ian, Rich and the team helped us get a slightly complicated wire'o' bound document ready with ease - they were straight on the phone when they noticed a bit of a problem with the orientation to help me correct it and the turnaround is was extremely impressive!!!
I needed a handbook printing for a lesson the next day! I was really impressed with the fast turn around! In the rush I had made a mistake. I was impressed with the fast and friendly communication to get this sorted which didn’t affect my delivery date! I like that it was really easy to reply rather than an automated email that can’t be reply to or having to spend ages on the phone. Will definitely use this service again (but be a bit more prepared next time!) thank you!
