The advantages of spiral binding « Back to list

book bindingMany businesses use booklets and brochures to promote products or advertise their services while others use booklet printing for reports, magazines and manuals. We regularly print all of these for customers and we offer a number of binding solutions depending on the purpose and size of your document. There’s perfect bound, saddle stitched and spiral bound.

Spiral binding is often the best solution for documents of between of four and 180 leaves – or 360 printed pages. Also known as wiro or coil binding, spiral binding is where the document is held together with a black metal wire spine that is fed through holes punched near the edge of the pages.

There’s no fold or solid spine in spiral bound books, so they can open flat and fold completely back on themselves. This makes spiral binding a perfect solution when printing reference material, recipe books, manuals, reports and notebooks. They’re also great for presentations because they can lie open on a desk for easy reference.

Choose from a great range of sizes
At DigitalPrinting.co.uk we print spiral bound booklets in five different sizes: A5, 1/3 A4, A4, 210mm x 210mm and A3. A3 is the largest book we print and only available with spiral binding. We’ll bind your A3 document along the short edge and this size is often used by our customers for creative presentations and portfolios.

Our paper comes in a range of weights starting at 100gsm and going up to 350gsm. Of course, there are recyclable options available, as well as our stunning range of luxury papers for when you need something extra special. The papers in luxury range are simply stunning, so ask for a sample pack and see for yourself!
